Dwarf Hamster Cage
Many of the decisions you will need to consider when choosing a dwarf hamster cage will be similar to the choices you have for any hamster, although some of the smaller cages may be suitable for your smaller hamster giving a wider selection to choose from.
Do ensure that any cage you select will properly contain your pet, as they are capable of squeezing though openings that can look far too small for any hamster to fit though. Because there is a lot of fur on a hamster it can be easy to forget that the body of a dwarf hamster is very small
Selecting a dwarf hamster cage should be easy and fun if you remember this and follow some simple guidelines.
1. Decide if you want a wire mesh dwarf hamster cage or a plastic tube style. A Rotastak hamster cage is ideally suited to smaller rodents.
2. Remember that wire mesh cages can be easier and quicker to clean, but may not look so appealing.
3. There are combination cages that have wire mesh bodies but also connect into the Rotastak system.
4. Ensure that there is enough room for your pet to play and exercise in your chosen cage as well as room for extra hamster toys for them to play on and chew.
5. Select a dwarf hamster cage that is right for both your hamster and the space and budget yow have available.
