The range of hamster cages available can make the task of choosing a first hamster cage a difficult one.

We have looked at the options and suggest four of the most popular hamster cages, offering options between a more traditional wire mesh hamster cage and a plastic tube system, and one in between!

Wire Mesh Hamster Cage

The first cage we look at is a traditional wire cage, with an easy clean plastic base. There are two platforms, a wheel, two bowls and two tunnels.

There are flaps on the top and the side for access to your hamster.

The cage is 40 x 38 x 30 cm.

Buy This hamster cage

Combination Hamster Cage

The next cage we look at is slightly smaller at 37cm x 28cm x 35cm, but is expandable by adding other elements if your hamster family grows.

There are a number of levels with connecting tubes, easy side access and the water bottle, bowl and wheel are included as well.

Rotastak Starter Cage
The final cage in our starter suggestions is the Rotastak De Lux Starter Kit.

This cage has a living area and sleeping (attic) area, connected with a tube system, the wheel, water bottle and food bowl and can be expanded if you need to add extra elements from the Rotastak range.

The size of this cage is Height 26 x 48 x 28cm.

Whichever cage you decide on, we hope your hamster is happy and healthy in it.
