If you are searching for a fun present for your hamsters the critter cruiser hamster car certainly fits the bill.

The hamster car is a little bit of a cross between a hamster wheel and a hamster ball. Your hamster goes into the enclosed wheel which you then pop into the car. As he exercises, your hamster will move the car either straight onto the floor, or across the optional track. If you do not have too much space, the wheel can spin without the hamster car moving.

Lets face it, Hamsters love to play and chew, so the perfect hamster toys will probably be ones that will give your hamster something to gnaw on whilst also allowing them to climb on, move or otherwise interact with the hamster toy.

Simple toys comprise paper or card shapes that can be placed in the hamster cage and allow added variety for your pet to play. More complex versions can be made of wood, giving a harder surface to be chewed.

To provide exercise you may want to consider a hamster wheel toy that either sits inside the cage or a hamster ball lets you take your hamster out of his normal home and give them the chance to run around.

Larger hamster toys include multi storey hamster towers, that will give your pet several additional layers to explore and climb through. These can have ladders, swings, and areas the hamster can hide away in.

If you are on a limited budget, there are always ways to make free hamster toys – a toilet roll, or cardboard shoebox with holes cut into it. Add some treats hidden inside for added interest. You could even combine the two, pushing the toilet rolls through the cardboard box but don’t use glue or tape on your home made hamster toys, as they could be harmful to your hamster.
